Witch trials & history of the Palazzo Lodron in Nogaredo Italy

The Palazzo Lodron in Nogaredo is an historic house built in the second half of the 15th century and finished during the 17th century. After commissioning the Cathedral of Salzburg and the Hellbrunn Castle to Architect Santino Solari (1576-1646), Nogaredo-born Prince-Archbishop of Salzburg Paris Lodron asked Solari to complete the Palazzo Lodron in Nogaredo. The Palazzo has frescos by Donato Mascagni (1579 -1637).

The Palazzo is especially known for hosting witch trials (1647-1717).

The Lodron family, one of the most prominent of Vallagarina , has been in Trentino since 1000.
